Today, I've gotten so used to people mispronouncing my last name, even after I correct them a gazillion times, I've lost the motivation to correct anyone on it anymore. At this point I'd probably faint from shock if someone who isn't related to me successfully pronounced it correctly. FML

Today, after 26 years of confusion with my parents pronouncing it different ways, and in my mom's case, multiple ways, having to clear up how it's spelled every time I meet someone, I asked my mom how to pronounce my name. She got mad and then pronounced it three different ways while explaining. FML

My friends mom delivers babies and this couple had a little girl and the nurse brought the baby back after cleaning her off and putting the bracelet on her and when the mom looked at the baby and the bracelet on the baby and she said "Oh look honey they already named he fah-mah-lee." The couple named their baby female. Completely true.

My name is Cerian, you pronounce it like 'kerri-un' without the - though. I get called things such as 'seri-an' 'kerry-anne' 'keiron'...which is a man's name, and 'Cer-ian' my middle name is unique as well, it's Aithne, you pronounce it as 'Eth-nee' but people pronounce it as 'Aith-nee' and 'Enya'...which is apparently the British way to say it. I like my names but I'm sick of having to tell people how to pronounce them.
