Today, I went to work feeling great. I'd just paid off my student loans and was planning a trip to see friends in Italy. I left work unemployed because a fraud case I exposed 3 years ago got the company sued for slander. It was thrown out because everything was fact. FML

Same thing different taste
Today, I came into work feeling good about myself and my upcoming plans. I left before noon with a box of my belongings and uncertainty about my future, having been suddenly laid off. FML
Today, for the first time since I can remember, I went in to work feeling positive, and that I could make good things happen. At the end of the day, my employment was terminated. FML
Can't buy me love
Today, I won the lottery two years ago, got a massive payout, and of course I told my boss to suck a hobo's asshole and rubbed it in my ex-wife's face that I was set for life. Now I'm broker than ever, getting sued for unpaid debt, and I just learned I'm blacklisted in my former career field. Why me? FML
Better out than in
Today, I resigned from my dream job with a small company. In the 6 weeks I worked there, a fist-fight occurred, the police were called 4 times, a person was fired for lying on important documents, and I was yelled or heckled for my ideas everyday. Now I'm jobless and worried, but had the first good night's sleep in 6 weeks. FML
Today, I was scheduled to fill in at the customer service counter where I work. Today was also the day that I allegedly accused a customer of being a thief, sold her a fraudulent money order, and will be sued for defamation of character. FML
Late stage capitalism
Today, I got laid off. I spent the last two months planning a conference for my company. They fired me the day before the conference. I skipped my ex-boyfriend's funeral to be at the first day of this job. FML
Today, my life finally seemed to be getting on track after recovering from major depression, paying off most of my debt, and scoring an amazing job. And then I woke up. FML
I'm innocent, I swear!
Today, I got a surprise raise and a promotion at work. Hours after accepting, our company was raided by police on fraud charges. Due to my new managerial position, I had to get grilled by cops. I may not have a job at all next week. FML
Today, a great job I have been wanting to apply for opened for applications. Turns out it requires a clean background with no credit issues. I recently got a notice saying my wife and I are being sued over an unpaid $140 medical bill that she neglected to pay. FML

Today, my old company merged with a new one. I was calling our old clients, and ended up speaking with a reporter who was investigating our company for fraud. I now have a meeting with the CEO tomorrow morning. I just started. FML

... so the company got sued for slander, the case got thrown out.... and your company still fired you? Damn. At least your loans are paid off.

It's nice to be disposable in a large company, don't you think so?

"It was thrown out because everything was fact." What?

I'm assuming another company was slandering his company, and he exposed it. In the end, the trial was thrown out because the Slander about OP's company was true. So OP pretty much destroyed his own company trying to protect it, thinking the info was fake. Hence, him being canned.

Op exposed fraud in another company. That company then sued op's company for slander. the slander case got thrown out because everything written in the fraud case was accurate. op still got fired even though their company won the suit

Sue them from wrongful termination as that's retaliation under whistleblowing.

OP exposed his company to a lawsuit. It doesn't matter that the suit was thrown out, if it hadn't been for OP, there wouldn't be a lawsuit. As far as "retaliation against a whistleblower" that would only work if the OP's company was the one who was caught committing fraud. He might still be able to claim wrongful termination, but not as a whistleblower.

So sue for wrongful termination
