yea... gift cards suck.... I remember I got one a while back and it was only redeemable online... this was after I picked out what I wanted and handed it to the clerk... but seriously, just give cash... might not be as personal but just say something corny like "I got you a gift card to the world"

There are also such things as visa gift cards. so instead of handing cash to someone you can pretty much give them a card that's usable everywhere.

I think the op should give it back to the person who gave it to her when the next birthday comes around. chances are that gift card was reused. or she waited too long.

they get away with all kinds of stuff I once had $150 gift card and they made it impossible to make an appointment (lots of things happened on their end like the electric went out and they were short on staff etc) and then it expired. they refused to honor it after that. But in the end I heard the owner that I yelled at for such poor customer service died a year afterwards. guess what comes around goes around.

okay obviously its not and what does california have to do with anything seriously? and i didnt even think it would get on fml actually the rest of my day consisted of getting cussed out by a black guy for doing nothing and then getting accused for stealing at a store and the alarm going off. but i couldnt fit all that in.
