Today, I was driving around with a few friends when one of them suggested we go in to an insurance company's office and sing their jingle. I'm an awful singer, so I was planning on lip syncing. Everyone else had the same idea. FML

Today, I was singing and drumming on the steering wheel in my car while stuck in traffic, only to realize the car next to me was full of my carpooling coworkers, all staring at me in disbelief. They spent the day at the office requesting songs. FML

Today, I went to see one of my favorite bands. When they started playing my favorite song I whipped out my video camera and sang along. As I was reviewing the video later, I realized that I couldn't even hear the band over my horrible singing. FML

Today, while driving and singing, I noticed a large fly inside my car. I stopped singing so it wouldn't fly into my mouth. That didn't stop it from flying up my nose, causing me to swerve and drive into a ditch. FML

Today, my roommate eavesdropped on me singing. When I realized he was there, he said I was "fucking incredible" and asked me to do another song. There's just one issue: I only sing well when I'm alone. The result was predictably bad. If it was possible to literally die of embarrassment, I wouldn't be writing this. FML

Today, my boss caught me singing and dancing in the office when I thought no one was around. Trying to save face, I told him I was just practicing for a team-building event. He smiled and said, "Great, you can lead the next one." Now I have to choreograph a team-building dance. FML

Today, to help me get over my crippling social anxiety, my therapist encouraged me to sing in front of a crowd, since I actually have a fine singing voice. I ended up fainting onstage, mid-song. FML

You have to have a pre-recorded track playing in order to have something to lip sync to. What you were (planning on) doing was just mouthing the lyrics.

Am I seriously the only one who have no idea what the **** this man/woman is talking about? Why would you ever sing their jingle, is it something that actually happens in the U.S? And how does this go down, do you just walk in there and sing? Because if so this can't be an FML, since you would all just stand quietly and no one would notice. Maybe that happened and your friends beat you up because you drove them there and then didn't sing, but that wasn't in this FML. Never heard of something as boring as this. If you are bored in a car you drive to some place of value, like bowling or swimming or whatever else. I am truly baffled how any of this story could ever happen in real life.
