Today, I received the box my parents sent me for my birthday. Contents were a travel first-aid kit, and a remote control robot toy, with an age recommendation on the box of 8. I'm 29. They thought that since I'm an engineer I would like the toy. They also think I'll hurt myself with it. FML

Take a photo (a fake one of course) of you getting maimed by the robot. Send it to your parents with "YOU BROUGHT THIS UPON ME" attached to it.

Wicked sense of humor, that's what they have ^^' #6 : good one xD

I'm 22....and an RC robot sounds ******* awesome. Little kid toys can be fun still

they were trying to be funny, idiot, say thankyou

google it to figure out where it's from, return it there, use the money to get whatever cool "toy" you DO have your eyes on

What they should have sent you was a Lego set. Engineers love that stuff. Trust me, I see them playing with them. AND they have Legos in the engineering library at my university, but ONLY in the engineering library.

If you're an engineer, I'm guessing you were the sort of kid who loved pulling things apart building stuff, and you probably got quite a few cuts and scrapes doing it. Your parents gift is a humous reminder of the little boy you used to be, and shows deep affection. Perhaps they're trying to remind you to have a little fun. If you want something expensive, you're old enough to buy it yourself. And seriously! Its a Robot ! & you're an Engineer ! Mess with that shit. Computer Engineer: Put a wireless webcam on it and drive it round from your PC. Electrical Engineer: Upgrade the motors in the arms/hands so it can get beer from the fridge for you. Mechanical Engineer: CIrcular Saw = Battle Bot. Civil Engineer: No wonder your parents think you need to loosen up a little.

hi, i think they were just trying to be nice. I don't think they thought you'd hurt urself. A travel First- Aid kit always comes in handy if u go on a holiday and cut ur finger or st. I never go without one. I have to admit that I'm a little clumsy though ^^

i don't understand whats wrong with the robot... your parents were probably just trying to give you a small gift that you would have some fun with, don't be so serious funny about the first aid kit though
