Today, I learned that the manager I switched jobs to escape 7 months ago will be my new boss. FML

People quit bosses, not companies. That's a bad break OP but give it some time before you make a decision. It's possible your old boss quit his/her boss and this is a positive move for both of you.

Seems like a good opportunity to switch jobs again.

Never mind, He's only had 7 months to think up shit to get you with. Surely fun times to come.

I would definitely talk to your current chain of command and convey your concerns about this new boss. Don't be rude or demeaning...just tell the truth. Hopefully it helps. Maybe you could be transferred to another department if moving that boss isn't a possibility. Good luck OP!

As long as your manager doesn't know that I think you will be ok. Maybe he has changed (doubtful). So just start looking for a new job
