Today, I helped myself to some homemade biscuits that had been left in the kitchen. I thought they looked a little odd, but they tasted pretty good. I found out later they were homemade dog treats. FML

Today, my roommate left a bomb looking package of cookies on the kitchen counter. My sweet tooth got the best of me and I made that split second decision of, "Oh, I'll just have one." Halfway through it, I noticed the fine print, "For dogs" on the package. FML

Today, I tried my hand at baking homemade individual apple tarts. While taking them out of the oven, I dropped the entire tray on the floor. My dog acted like it was Christmas in August and scarfed at least half of them. FML

Today, I was running late for work and skipped breakfast. At a red light, I noticed a granola bar in my bag and so I took a bite, only to realize it was actually a dog treat I'd stuffed in there days ago. FML

Today, I made myself a snack. I took a seemingly clean plate from the sink which had been used earlier for scrambled eggs. Only after I'd made the snack did I remember I let my dog lick the plate clean. FML

It's really not that big of a deal. If they're home made, chances are they're made with ingredients you eat all the time and are ok for your dog to ingest. I made a cake for my dog once, and it was pretty much just making a normal cake, but the sugar was different, and the "frosting" was a thin layer of yogurt. You'll be fine, you won't turn into a dog, your life isn't ******.

How is making my dog a cake any different than making biscuits or giving your dog a treat? It's not like I put candles on it and sang happy birthday or anything.
