Today, I had to cancel all of the plans to go away on a romantic weekend with my boyfriend. My parents are going out of town for a night and I have to stay home a babysit my little sister. She's 19. FML

You're obviously an adult, since your little sister is 19. YDI for not just saying "no, I have plans." Don't blame others because you lack a spine.

Obviously... It's not like a 19 year old can sustain life for 24 hours on her own... That's unheard of...

agree with 5 ur ovbiouly an adult soo come on now

I saw this one come through moderation and the sister was 21 first. So unless she's disabled somehow, I'm still thinking this is highly unlikely.

If the sister is disabled/challenged/whatever then it's not an FML, it's a YDI for being a crappy sister.

I think she is old enough to stay home alone so just ditch her or get her a date. btw what does YDI mean?

The age IS relevant if she's handicapped. She's 19 and needs babysitting. Sounds more FMLish than "my handicapped sister"

FYL bc she shouldn't need a babysitter at19 she's lagally an adult

FAKE (or the OP is leaving something out)

YDI for not being on your own with a younger sister who is 19. If you are still living in their house, you live by their rules.

The solution is painfully obvious. SAY NO and go on your romantic getaway that you have had planned. If you actually stay home, then YDI for being too weak to stand up for yourself

Maybe they're just saying that cause they dont like your bf and the dont want you to fo on the trip with him... either way YDI if your just going to give into your parents like that
