Today, I had been planning a family trip for months. My father had all his bags packed, ready to go in the car. He had my grandmother's ashes in his suitcase, and planned to spread them on a mountain. This morning our car was broken into and everything was stolen. The thief stole my grandma. FML

I feel horrible, but I actually laughed out loud when I read this. only because of the ludricacy of the situation, not because of you. maybe the thief hit a bump in the road, and grandma burst out anf choked them to death. then we could all chuckle

If you stick 500 USD to a traffic light - would you be surprised when it is gone the next day? F OPs life for his grandma, but his family deserved to have their car broken in for packing the day before and not hiding it in a garage or simply put in the luggage directly before leaving.

I can't help wondering why your family packed the car completely with all the stuff and still parked it outside where the thief could easily see that there is a lot inside. No wonder.
