Might have been. Whatever it was I stopped reading pretty quick because it seemed too silly for me. Of course I think I started reading Hellsing shortly after and man is that silly so what do I know.

I'm pretty sure it was, if not the storyline, than at least a side plot in some magical girl manga I read as a preteen.
