Today, I got in an argument with my teacher for always comparing me to my sister that she had a few years before. After I said, "I'm not my sister so please stop comparing me to her," she responded, "Of course you're not your sister, I actually like your sister." FML

Today, while home from college for the weekend, my sister started whining about how I keep using "big fancy college words" and making her feel bad. My sister is 27 and teaches elementary school. The word I used was "ludicrous." FML

Today, my sister was upset because she felt like no one liked her. Without thinking, I replied, "It's okay. If I acted like you, people would probably hate me, too." This sounded sympathetic in my head. FML

Today, I got into a screaming fight with my little sister. Why? Because I'm getting "too chummy" with our new stepmom, who by the way is a very sweet woman, and has made our dad so happy since they met. But my sister has made up her mind that all stepmothers are evil. She's seventeen and still thinks like this. FML

Today, I got into a heated argument with my big sister, all because she doesn't like me having a girlfriend. She said that I either lose her or my girlfriend, and I chose to lose her. She blocked me. FML

Today, I was complaining to my mom about how my sister looked like a barbie doll next to me. I was saying how she was so tan and her hair looked awesome next to mine. She paused for a while and then said "Well you're pretty on the inside." FML

Today, I had to listen to my classmate loudly argue a question she got wrong on a test for half an hour, repeating the same incorrect argument ad nauseam. She screamed at the rightfully exasperated teacher for being "biased" when he gave up, and started screaming again when I tried to explain it in a different way. FML

Today, my sister and mom were arguing. My sister was being really nasty to my mom, and decided to get nasty with me and drag me into the argument. Naturally, I got nasty back at her and we started fighting. My mom yelled at me for getting nasty with my sister, and kicked me out of the house for “being too nasty.” FML

Today, my sister blamed me for everything again. We're twins and have the same friends, but they all like her better because she's an extrovert and I'm an introvert, and I'm sick of her getting mad at me, copying me, blaming me and making my life miserable for no reason. I don't have an older sister, but I am one, and I don't know if this is common but when I hear a teacher compared my litter brother or sister (usually my brother) to me, I get so pissed off. sorry she said that, OP. Shes not worth you're time if she's the type of person to say that to a student. but if she keeps it up definitely find a way to report it, that isn't right. good luck! :P

Sounds like my math teacher. He compares me to my older cousin all the time.. She was good at math. It's like a foreign language to me. But he's funny and I don't get offended easily so it's all good.

All my teachers compared me to My sister. It was backwards though she was the "Bad kid" and they didn't want to take the time to help me because they assumed i am just going to turn out like her and waste there time.

It was rude of the teacher, but NOT mental abuse. Not. Even. Close. I hope you (or anyone here) never ever has to deal with what mental abuse really is. It's a deep, living hell that you're stuck in.. without a ladder to get out.
