Well, I am OP, and I am indeed 23...I met my husband when I was 18....and his ex was 17. She "lied" to him about her age. I am amazed I have bought it for so long. Yup, he is certainly a soon-to-be ex. Right after he loses his jewels. (kidding...maybe, lol) My soon-to-be-ex just turned 36.

Pedophiles go after children, a minor is not necessarily a children since a child is someone 14 years old or younger. Also to the girl who started it all I'm pretty sure 14 and maybe even 13 year olds already have their periods. The word "minor" refers to children but also teens who are not legally able to give any consent to have sex. I'm pretty sure this would be statutory rape.

FYI - 16 is the age of consent in a lot of states. Therefore she is old enough to get married and have babies. Is it right? No. Is it done? Yes. Op is probably only 18.

#310, Yes, this is disgusting. Silence? Are you kidding?! In her time of pain, OP has generously alerted the FML public that awful things like this do happen. Her experience is a caution to others. Silence only enables scumbags like OP's husband to get away with it. So does excuse-making, like "she was asking for it" or "she's a ****." Do you want to be brave and open, or a craven enabler? It's up to you.

I don't know what would be worse; the husband taking advantage of a very hormone filled 16 year old girl that doesn't know better or him kind of manipulating a scared one into it. Plus he knew he had a pregnant wife at the time. What a clusterfuck.
