Today, I finally got the courage to tell my best friend that I've had a crush on him since our junior year. Since I couldn't see him I shot him a text. His response: "Yeah I know. I've tried kind of ignoring it." FML

Well this might not as bad as it could have been, he's known for ages that you have a crush on him, it doesn't make him too uncomfortable, and he's handled it and stays friends with you. You still have a best friend, and a lot of times that's worth more than a crush.

If they're best friends he probably already knows they have fun together. He might just want them to have fun together as friends, not as gf and bf.

I don't see this as an FML. You guys are still friends. Life isn't peaches and creme. Not everyone that you like is going to like you back. And may I point out again, you're still friends. And he let you down totally tastefully. Things could have been so much worse.
