To the ppl ripping on the GED, you guys are ignorant and have nothing else to do. My significant other completed his first year of high school but had to leave school to take care of a disabled family member. He studied his ass off at home and earned his GED, and is in college at this point. He is intellectually curious and is one of the smartest people I know (and I'm a doctoral student myself and I know a lot of smart people - academically and "streetwise"). Stop hating on the GED, a high school diploma isn't any better. Many of the people I graduated with ended up flipping burgers, becoming baby factories, etc...but oh, at least they have their HS diplomas...whatever. In any case, the OP's family are a bunch of douches. It doesn't matter what they were celebrating, the person whose accomplishment/milestone is being celebrated should NOT be the one expected to pay, even if he did have enough gift money to pay the bill.
LOL own
Fake? Why the hell would they make you pay the bill at your own graduation celebration dinner? This makes no sense.
