Depends how long he's been in the relationship. $400 is an awful lot to be spending on someone you've been seeing for less than a year.

maybe you do deserve it... I didn't buy my husband $400 gifts until we got married! my engagement ring is amazing!!! and it cost less than $600! you need to take things a bit slower, money can't buy love!
