Today, my boyfriend introduced me to his mom, but she decided I was “unsuitable.” I hoped he’d be on my side. Nope, he just accepted her word as law, broke up with me, and pushed me outside. He'd driven me there, so I had to find a bus in a city I’ve never been to, in the dark, without a coat. FML

Today, I met my girlfriend's parents. Her father looked me up and down, said, “No” then went back to his TV. My girlfriend immediately broke up with me and threw me out. I even had to get a really expensive taxi home, because we’d driven in her car and I had no idea what part of the city I was in. FML

Friend, if she could so easily be convinced by a total stranger, then perhaps are she shouldn't have been your girlfriend in the first place. But don't worry about it. Shit happens, and sometimes relationships come and go. Since I, myself, have had a few shitty relationships in the past, I can say there's always someone else out there.
