Today, a shifty customer came in to my store and was hanging around for about 30 minutes. Apparently, he took that time to put religiously-motivated anti-abortion notes into each and every pair of socks. In the following hours, I had 17 angry returns and was personally threatened twice. FML

'Tis the season to be political. Falalalala, lalalala

You're a few months late there, buddy.

#13 If anything, it's the exact right season

Why? The sperm that sees socks isnt going anywhere anyway

Why cant people keep their opinions to themselves?

I guess that's one persons opinion.

I'd say that's nigh impossible. Maybe a better request would be to keep your very controversial opinions to yourself.

Better yet, keep controversial opinions out there. Free speech. The only problem is stupid people.

Because the sharing of opinions and ideas helps to shape the nature and function of society. If everyone just spent their time being a meek and silent recluse, sharing no opinions, we would have no sense of community. Also, I'm sure our growth, intellectually, emotionally, and otherwise, would be quite stunted if people couldn't speak their minds. Sure, it's easy to get frustrated if someone has a different opinion or shares it poorly, but if you can take a step back and look at the big picture... free speech is more of a good than evil.

I agree with his belief, but his tactics of spreading them seem kinda inappropriate..

What about this even remotely deserves the word "kinda"?

I disagree with his beliefs but agree that he has a right to have said beliefs.

He has a right to have beliefs, but not to put flyers about them in everyone's socks and make employees' jobs miserable. C'mon. Unless he's trans, I'm sure it's also very easy to be against abortion when he'll never be put in the difficult position of choosing between "have an abortion or have a kid".

Agreed, however the word "very" would do better than the word "kinda" in this situation

And those are only the ones returned!

As if it's not bad enough with the normal angry/rude customers..
