Technology hates humans

Today, I found out that my bathroom electrical outlet has a feature unique from the others, where it turns off on it's own and has to be reset. I found this out after returning an electric toothbrush for a refund, then paying double for another one, thinking the first one's charger didn't work thanks to the outlet. FML

Always check a different outlet in an other room before assuming something electrical failed... Bathrooms and kitchens have plumbing and the outlets have GFI protection - Which makes them more prone to be tripped. There is a reset button on the GFI outlet to reset it.

that's not unique. that's a GFI. there should be one near every sink/bathtub etc.. if it gets wet or whatever you're using shorts out, it will cut itself off. that's why there's a button that says "reset" on it and it looks different
