Why didn't you say, "Ferme ta geule, saloppe!"?
For those of you who aren’t Francophones, lemme save you a trip to Google Translate: that means “shut your mouth, bitch.” And it also reeks of insecurity.
Not just mouth, which is "bouche" but a dirty, animal mouth. I think it is appropriate jealousy in that moment.
So it would be like saying “shut your dicktrap.” Come to think of it, I should use that line once or twice.
There have been very few-- I can only remember three-- times in my 54 years of life that a woman has overtly come on to me in front of my girlfriend or wife. One of them was on a subway in France, and was accomplished by very deliberately keeping her leg in almost constant contact with mine, while smiling and trying to keep eye contact. I felt an enormous ego boost on two of the occasions, and just very uncomfortable on the third. But it took me years after the 2nd time to truly appreciate how hurtful the event was and how much it bothered my wife. I would callously bring up the Paris subway incident once a year or so, because to me it was a fond (and harmless) memory; but it was causing my wife pain, and I didn't really see that. If I had it to do all over again, I would have stopped the incident early on, even at the price of creating an embarrassing scene in a foreign country; or at the very least, I never would have mentioned it again. But yeah, your husband is going to be pretty pleased with himself for a while.
Let him have his moment. Men hardly ever get compliments, and if they do, it's usually about work.
