Aww that's so sad!!!!
Dang,I meant to give you a thumbs up. They should really change not being able to change thumbs up to down or reverse.
It's not your fault! Who knows, they could have a good laugh about this after!
No matter what you do now, you'll feel like a jerk. No way you could've known, but still not acceptable that they interrupt class.
aww poor lil kid. this just melted my heart. as a mum to 5 boys this is just heartbreaking. as a parent you hope your child can make friends but it's not as easy as it seems. your wernt to.know op but maybe try and add a team building exercise into your school day to try and help students like that
"Jimmy, there's a time and place to make friends. But not during class, especially when I'm talking".
That sounds like emotional blackmail. If students are not allowed to pass notes in class, then you were very correct in your decision to make them see you afterwards.
Getting in trouble together is a great bonding activity.
What grade do you teach ? I know it's really not relevant but I'm curious.

Ah, it's not your fault OP, there's no way you could've known.
Didn't realize you had Casper the friendly ghost in schools, but honestly I feel bad for the kid :c
