Today, my grandfather was counting all the grandchildren he had and saying how fortunate he was to have all of us. When I pointed out that he'd forgotten to count me, he turned and said, "You're adopted, you don't count as a real grandchild." FML

Today, I was on the phone with my boyfriend. We were messing around and I always jokingly say, "You're adopted, nobody loves you!" to everybody. His reply, "That's pretty fucked up, I am adopted." He really was. FML

Today, my dad justified leaving two of my three kids out of his will because they’re adopted and so not really his proper grandchildren, telling me I can’t seriously expect him to just give his money to people who aren’t real family members. FML

Today, a guy in my class was talking about himself. He started his story with, "When I was little, I was a ginger." I replied without thinking, "Is that why you got put up for adoption?" Him being adopted was the actual story he wanted to tell. FML

Today, I found out that the man I called grandpa for 40 years is really my dad. My drunk aunt spilled the beans. Her exact words were, "My dad is a better dad to you than he EVER was to me! You never wondered why he treated you better than his other grandchildren? You're his son!" FML

I'm adopted too, I would have felt like shit if someone in my family said that to me. :( Sorry, you're grandfather is an ass.

That really sucks... i am not exactly adopted.... but i live with my dad and his wife.. and sometimes my half-sibliings joke about how i am adopted. and it dont always like it... so for you it is worse.... ur granddad is a jackass for say that

I've heard about Play Therapy but do you have any forum that talk about this and do you know if it could be good for him to participate to one these therapy? yeaaaa buddy, i wish i was adopted! more reason to get out of my house and away from these ppl i call family. think about it this way, whatever flaws and shit that ur "family" has, at least u dnt have them!:) sadly i inherited everything in my family.
