My wife's family did this on our first honeymoon; AND they booked rooms on both sides of our room. We had purposely loud sex every morning and night for 2 weeks. EDIT: Only one of their rooms was connected.

If your family was paying for your honeymoon (and i kind of think they would to know all of the details in enough time to join you, instead of just vacationing in the city) YDI. However if you and you were wife were the ones financing the trip than your life is ******

Your family sucks big time. It doesn't matter who's paying, a honeymoon is for the bride and groom alone. Otherwise it's not a honeymoon. May I suggest moving somewhere far away from your family since they obviously don't understand basic boundaries?
