Oddly specific

Today, my boyfriend broke up with me because I order meat well done. He's the third guy to do this. Just the thought of eating undercooked meat makes me gag. FML

gross, but not breakup worthy. fyl

If you're talking about steak, even the cautious food safety standard is 145°, which corresponds to medium, not well-done. It's actually probably riskier to eat a steak that's well-done, because it can contain more cancer-causing chemicals due to high temperatures.

Whoever downvoted this comment, mind your own steak and get a life.

The trash took themselves out. You deserve someone with the emotional maturity to not care how cooked your steak is.

Next time try ordering a steak 'just off the pink'. I like my steak still tender and juicy but I do NOT like it pink. Just off the pink is a nice compromise between medium and well done. If you can deal with it then you'll avoid all the steak snobs who immediately throw a screaming blasphemy tantrum at just the words 'well done'. Or just date vegetarians 🤷

He must have just wanted an excuse to break up with you, and picked a lame one. You're better off. No one should tell others what to eat.

We live in way too petty of a society if people are breaking up because of one's meat preferences. I can't stand undercooked meat, either. Medium rare? No thanks... I always order medium or medium well (depending on the restaurant, as some cook it too long or not enough). You're better off without those weirdos.
