Not funny, guys
Today, my family decided it would be hilarious to catch the biggest moths they could and let them loose in my room. I'm terrified of moths and they thought it would be "funny as hell" to watch me freak out. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Today, my boyfriend found out about my severe phobia of moths. It's so bad that I sometimes pass out. He caught a moth in a jar, and put it on my bedside table. I woke up, saw it, and had a panic attack. He recorded it all and wants to upload it to YouTube. FML
Today, I got up and started getting ready for work. As I entered the bathroom, I noticed a moth in the shower. Feeling generous, I caught the moth in a cup and took it to the front porch. I released the moth and watched it fly away… into a giant spider and its web. FML
Today, I woke up after a long night of trying to catch a moth. I'd knocked down furniture and screamed up the house to do so, but I finally got it. What did I see first thing this morning? Another moth. FML
Today, a moth was flying around my house. Annoyed, I picked up a shoe to crush it with. The moth landed on a light fixture on the ceiling, so I made my move. Dead, the moth slipped gracefully through air and onto my head. So did the light fixture. FML
Today, I saw a moth trapped in a spider web. Feeling gracious, I gently freed it, and then took it to the window to let it out. When I opened the window to set him free, my $300 air conditioner fell two stories and smashed on the sidewalk. The moth flew away. FML
Today, there's a moth in my house, who either does nothing, or flies around like it just ate enough sugar for one lifetime. Every time I see it, I think it's a wasp and, being deathly afraid of them, I go into a full-blown panic attack until the sight of it bumping into light bulbs brings me back to reality. FML
Today, I walked into my son's room only to be attacked by a swarm of flies. I'm afraid to go back in there. FML
Today, the spiders in my house are so big that they catch wasps in their webs. FML
Today, I woke up to a huge, disgusting bug next to my bed. As I tried to squish it, it suddenly flew off at high speed. Now I'm lying in bed, awake and terrified because I can hear it buzzing around but can't see it anywhere. FML
Today, after already living with two wasps' nests, as well as gnats that plague our flower pots, we've also discovered moths in our pantry, who've ruined all of the food. FML

Use your shoe to smush the moth. Use the same shoe to smack the crap out of your family members.

Luckily, they don't bite or sting or are aggressive. But still, if you're afraid of them, then it sucks to be you!

Hope you have moth balls in your closet, wouldn't want those pesky moths chewing holes through your clothing.

My word. I'm also terried of moths, disgusting little flying furry demons. I'd never forgive anyone for that. Hope you can plan revenge.

Ok now that it's over, think about it rationally. Did they hurt you? Bite you? Do anything other than fly or sit around your room? No? Then maybe you can use that experience and learn to calm your fear a bit. Btw clothes moths eat wool mostly not polyester blends, your clothes are probably safe too.

Phobias aren't so easily overcome. It could take years of treatment, and even then I doubt the phobia will just go away- it will always be there. OP, revenge is sweet.

Have you ever been really scared of something? It's irrational but very real and scary as ****. I have the same fear of moths as the OP. I'm pretty sure we both know there is no way a moth can physically harm us, but that doesn't take the fear away.

They were right, I'm laughing.
