Today, after an entire week of doing all the household chores, and feeling under appreciated, I suggested to my boyfriend that we go on a date night, to feel a little more connected. He has spent all day trying to get out of it. I offered to pay, because I just want to feel loved again. FML

You do realize that paying for love is basically soliciting prostitution? It won't take money for you to feel loved. All you need is a new boyfriend!

That's not how it works. Talk to him, communicate your needs and encourage him to do the same. When you're not agreeing in these points then it maybe just don't work, which is fine. We can't do well with everyone. Good luck :)

I hope you're expressing and communicating how you feel and why you wanted a date night as well. Otherwise just asking to go on a date is likely not going to register with your partner in the way intended. Best of luck, and as an aside, therapy is very helpful!
