Mind your own business

Today, my grandmother told me that if I didn’t get my act together, especially regarding a job, my relationship with my girlfriend would fizzle out. This is after I've already applied for 3 jobs. I told her respectfully that our relationship isn’t her business, and she threatened to kick me out of the house. FML

OK, context. How old are you and do you really think three applications is enough? It’s a tough world. She’s trying to get your attention and wake you up to that.

3? There's people out there sending out 30 applications a day. Was it 3 that day? I mean, 3 well chosen applications every single day would be something but I'm guessing it's more like 3 in the last 6 months... Your Grandma has a point and you can either pull your big boy/girl/non specific pants up or get kicked out. Your choice.

Are you contributing to the household financially? If not, Grandma has a point.

Your grandmother has wisdom and experience on her side. Not to mention her home. You're a bum mooching off your grandma, and probably not even paying rent. Either your girlfriend is as lazy as you are, or she's falling for every lie you tell her. Also, that whole thing about you applying for three jobs. That's ever since you became a legal adult, isn't it?
