Maintenance

Today, a maintenance crew came to shovel outside our apartment at 1:00 a.m. They were a hired third party so our usual maintenance guy can't stop them, they didn't speak English for me to communicate, and the cops don't consider shoveling a noise complaint. They woke my kids, and I have to be up again in a few hours. FML

Isn't shoveling/plowing at night normal? Like, if they waited until decent hours no one would be at work on time lol. At least in Canada it's always been normal to hear the plows and stuff go scraping on by in the wee hours.

Before I bought my house, the last apartment I ever rented did that. Sure they woke up my kids at 2am, but it was great when I had to get the kids and myself to work/school in the morning though. And to be honest, I’d rather have someone else doing it in the middle of the night for me, than I doing it myself in the morning. I pay someone to clear my driveway for me now(one of my older kids), and he is out in the middle of the night clearing snow for people.

Many places have curfews in place for this kind of thing. And who shovels at 1 in the morning? So many unanswered questions here.

We currently have a company contracted by the Hoa that comes anywhere between 1-5 in the morning. My dog thinks someone’s breaking into the house and barks like a protector!
