Well, I guess you're nice for wanting her to be happy even if you can't have her...But damn, if you haven't already just get some balls and tell her how you feel. If you're seriously in love with her it might be worth it to try. You should weigh how much the friendship means to you and whether you're willing to risk it. I'd say, go for what you REALLY want, no matter the risk.

Ok first, why the F*** are you guys such dicks to this guy? She has a boyfriend, what he chose to do was fine. If he had told her how he felt, it would have just ended up making things awkward, ruining his friendship with her and thus his chances as well. My suggestion is that he wait it out, if they break up, then don't hesitate. Wait maybe a week, preferably enough time for her to get over the break up, which will be effected by who broke up with who, and then tell her. But at the moment, be her friend, as good of a friend as possible. As for the a** holes on here, pay no attention to them. I make a living out of giving people relationship advice, these people are just stupid. Referring to the whole "love" thing, it might be true so don't judge him. But it is over used and a crush is not at all love. Don't use that word unless you a 100000000000000000000% sure of it because the more you end up using it, the less real meaning it has and thats whats sad about our race today. Nothing is sacred anymore, not even love. But really, that does suck. You need to suck it up and continue being her friend though if you ever want a chance. As for the people telling you to tell her how you feel. Do it? yes... right now? hell no.
