Life choices

Today, I'd always thought my sister was an idiot for having her kids in her teens and early 20s before she was ready. Thing is, she’s now in her early 30s, her kids are grown, and she’s loving life. I had my kids in my 30s. By the time they’re grown, I’ll be old and broken down. FML

When you're saying she had them before she was ready, does all her kids have the same father, and is this her current husband? Because I'm sure there are certain aspects of this equation in which you come out the best way, from how I interpret your post.

Be thankful you have children. I never did, despite trying for years, and I am in my 50s, old, broken, and no kids to help me.

Stop having kids just because you think you're supposed to have kids.

How could her kids be grown by the time she was in her early 30's if she had (some of) them in her early 20's?

yeah, I get this. When my husband and I had our kids, his family complained that we were 'too young'. I had my first child at 22, second at 24, 3rd at 26 (my husband and I are the same age). Now we are in our mid 30s, with 2 out of 3 being highschool age now and my husband and I are able to enjoy life as a couple while we still have some of our youth left. Did we have the kids too young? I don't think so 😏
