Today, my neighbour called to say a crazy drunk man was breaking into my house. Thankfully, the police were already there, questioning me about “attempted unlawful entry” into my own house. My keys had been taken from a friend so I wouldn’t drive. It's 1°C and I still haven’t gotten inside. FML

Surely your neighbor that called you can come and tell the police who you are. You should be grateful to the friend for making sure you can't drink and drive, to the cops for being prompt, and to the neighbor for trying to help keep you in the loop!

This neighbor's reaction was normal. Most of my neighbors don't even know who I am; they just call me "the crazy lady who walks her cat in the hallway with a leash".

Today, there was a fire alarm in my dorm. Just as I was leaving my room, a lady in the hallway told me that it was a drill and they'd be inspecting rooms, so I would need to leave my door unlocked. When I came back, my room was trashed and my laptop, speakers, and jewelry were gone. FML
