Lesson learned

By gymnasticscoach - This FML is from back in 2009 but it's good stuff - United States

Today, a kid I coach on a regular basis was talking to me about what I did outside of work. After we were done with the conversation, she told me with a straight face that I needed to get a life and get a boyfriend. She's 10. And she's right. FML

Damn, your a gymnastics coach and you can't get a boy friend. You must really be doing something wrong. I'm a programmer and I don't have a girlfriend. At least I have an excuse!

As if having a boyfriend makes you a better person or something... tell the kid she'll understand when she's older. That'll piss her off!

I'm not surprised, chicks that do that sport never have any time, I've dated a few... I don't see how they could ever give someone enough of a shot to love them with the VERY limited amount of free time they have (which they spend relaxing, alone... but can you blame them?) of course all of this is just my experience, I have no idea what your schedule is like...

#30 because the /10-year-old girl/ told her to get a boyfriend. Kids that age can't comprehend same-sex couples yet

how much did you tell her? you're NOT obligated to give the children you coach your life story. it's ok to have barriers

I seriously doubt a 10-year old has enough life experience to tell a grown adult to get a life. Ever pick shrapnel out of your face but come out relatively unharmed? Ever bang a hooker in Malaysia and then run out on the bill? No? Well **** you kid, **** you.

part of your life involves coaching her bitch ass

people, just cause some one is a gymnastics coach...doesn't automatically mean they should have no difficulties finding a bf. it's the same as it is for everyone else.

Since you are a gymnastics coach... one thing comes to mind butterface.... "I would bang her, but 'er face..."

On a more constructive note... Maybe the annoying kid spoke some truth... If your life involves... waking up, going to work, going home, watching tv alone, and then going to bed.... hey maybe you do need to get involved in something to spice up your life. I hardly think getting a boyfriend is the answer to "get a life".... I find personal accomplishments are much more fulfilling when I know I completed them on my own.... I'm a Tri guy

you probably don't drink at all. or not enough. have a couple and you will get laid and you will love it. if you just allow yourself to..
