Today, I'm so tired from constantly soothing my crying 2 month-old baby that I've started trying to soothe inanimate objects with baby talk whenever they make a noise. My fridge started beeping and I began an involuntary chorus of, "It's OK darling, shhhhhh, it's alright." FML

Congrats on your beautiful baby! I do this too, my daughter is 18 months and I STILL catch myself rocking side to side randomly. It's a mommy thing :3

Same! My daughter will be two months this weekend and I find myself soothing the cat and dog and rocking whatever I'm holding! I also was mostly asleep and tried to pick up the baby from beside me on the bed to put her back in hers only to realize she was already in her bed and that it was my husbands arm! Lol
