It is known that people in 3rd world countries do seem to have stronger immune systems than those living in countries like the US and UK. It is thought that this is because they live in poor living conditions and are exposed to much more illness-causing bacteria, which results in a stronger immune system that is better able to deal with diseases like giardia. Over time they develop immunities to specific diseases which are then passed on to their children, who are then more likely to survive even though they are living in a dirty environment. Hovever, in 1st world countries what with bioengineering of our foods, our obsession with eliminating pathogens from our foods, and the development of modern medicine that we eat there is no need for our immune systems to develop and evolve to fight said diseases. This means that we are not biologically equipped to live in 3rd world countries where disease is rife as our immune systems have become so weak that it can simply not fight illness off. What you are seeing in 3rd world countries is the natural evolution of people in response to their environment. People in America and the United Kingdom simply do not have that interaction anymore.
