Fatherlessness

Today my ex started to talk to me again after 3 years... I have been in an amazing relationship for the last 2 years. She let me know she is taking me to court for child support! I didn't even know I had a kid. FML

DNA test. That's a long time to hide this shit from you, it's super suspicious. If it is your kid, get some form of custody because the ex is obviously unstable.

I’m sure you want to do the right thing if that’s your kid. But 2 years is a long time to not tell someone they have a kid. They are either lying or thought it was the guy(s) after dating you.
Get a DNA test. If the kid is yours you shouldn’t be responsible for the 2 years of child support, that’s on her. But you are responsible for future child support payments.

If she put OP's name on the birth certificate as the father he might already be stuck for child support if the birth state has a no-challenge presumption of truth. There's been at least one case in the U.S. where a man provably not the birth father was held liable for child support until the kid turns 18.
