Today, I went out to dinner with the girl of my dreams. Wanting to get to know her, I asked her what she’s looking for in a relationship. She scoffed and said how relationships are for the weak and that it’s better to not catch feelings to avoid being hurt. I guess I don’t have a chance. FML

You are not a “loser” and neither is she. But you have different goals. When people have incompatible basic goals in a relationship, it’s just not going to work.

Reminds me of the girl of my dreams. In her case I suspect she has been hurt, more than she ever told me. Try to give her all the love and crack that wall. Either she’ll fall for it or run away.
