Today, my lawyer let me know that due to the rising costs of living, her rate has increased to $565 an hour. That's more 20 times my pay. I'm not even getting a cost of living increase. FML

That's only for a criminal defense lawyer. I can't imagine what kind of lawyer gets over $500 an hour.

That's a pretty normal rate in my limited experience. Even hiring out low skill labor is about $100 an hour but the laborer only sees about 25% of that after all the middle men take their cut.

Today, while on vacation, my parents called to inform me that my best friend had died in a car accident. Why? To trick me into tearfully confessing my love for him. It worked. FML

Today, my ambulance got called out for a "stomach pain" patient. Upon assessment, the guy really did have stomach pain. His colostomy bag fell off a week ago, so to stop the crap from falling out, he duct taped it shut. It exploded when I helped him up. FML
