Today, my girlfriend broke up with me over a stupid argument, but after a long day we made up and got back together. Not long afterwards, my friend called, feeling guilty and confessing that he had sex with her after finding out she'd dumped me. FML

Today, it's been two weeks since my girlfriend of many years and I decided to take a short break from each other. We'd been fighting a lot and felt like some space would help the situation. I found out today that, at some point during those two weeks, she decided to go and have sex with my (now ex) best friend. FML

I guess I'm the only one who read the FML as the friend called OP after hearing about the break up to tell OP that they'd had sex during the relationship? It just happened that he called OP after they had got back together... Took me reading a lot of the comments and re-reading the FML a number of times to get it

A similar situation happened to a friend of mine once. Even if she technically "didn't cheat", it still hurts to hear she did that to you. I hope you have better luck with the next one, OP.
