Today, whilst at work a colleague of mine asked if she could have a word, this 'word' turned into her telling me 'I should probably wear stronger deodorant'. I was too embarrassed to mention I have a bacterial condition and am currently using prescribed deodorant. Obviously it's not working. FML

I can understand how uncomfortable that would be, but hey, at least your co-worker cares enough about you that they don't want you to walk around smelling bad. Or maybe they just don't want to smell you... Hopefully the bacterial condition clears up soon!

If you have to use that deodorant, maybe try a body spray or perfume-type product if it doesn't irritate the infection!

Try a few varieties, both prescribed and not. Personally I find Mitchum to be most effective but I don't have a bacterial problem so you may need to find something different.

If it's bacterial, I'd say try organic apple cider undiluted from the bottle on a cotton ball. Rub it in before bed and use soap in the shower before you go to work. I had a weird bacterial thing and the vinegar killed the smell while the medicine did what was supposed to. The soap will get the vinegar smell off. Either way, I hope it gets better soon for you.

You may also want to try stainless steel "soap". It's pretty good with controlling odors that would otherwise persist and from what I hear works well for people with bacterial conditions
