Yes, listen to this "guru" and throw away your relationship for something as little as that.
honestly, talking about someone's problems openly without their consent is rude as ****...
He was really rolling the dice with that one.
Actually 21, if he isn't willing to talk about a problem as big as a gambling addiction, OP should be thinking about moving on. Especially since he's comparing it to something that isn't that big of a deal, such as a weight gain.
Weight gain is indeed a big deal to some. **** the fat acceptance movement. I want a healthy (and healthy looking) woman. Don't tell me that "lazy lifestyle choices" is not a reasonable thing to take issue with. And before you bring up the "for some people it's thyroid problems blah blah blah," bear in mind that those instances are NOT common.
#34 okay but nobody said OP was overweight? it says that she gained weight. not that she gained a thousand pounds and has a diet solely made up of hot cheetos. like i get where you're coming from but honestly OP's partner is a sphincter balloon and could just be trying to hurt her as best he can. i dont know for sure, i wasnt there, but this is just how i read through it.
amen
Your boyfriend is a moron.
Some people can't help the fact that they're addicted, and their mind can act strangely ;)
I'm willing to bet that he's a complete pig. Get out while you can and find someone worth taking a chance on.
There is no comparison, a gambling addiction will literally take everything from his life. If he doesn't get some help (do something about the issue) you shouldn't stay to see the destruction.
Well depending on how much weight was gained that could end a life as well. There are a lot of bad things that happen at an increased rate to people that are overweight.
But can't being obese kill you..?
She didn't say she is mobi my obese, she said she gained weight. That can be going from 110-120
Because he loves you he would accept that you have maybe gained weight, although gambling is a serious problem and in the long run, you would be better off without him spending all of your money.
Sounds like your boyfriend just has problems in general.
Puns aside, you really need to either put your foot down about getting his addiction seen to, or leave before he starts getting in serious debt and relying on you to bail him out.
I see a mutual solution here, you hit the gym and he quit gambling and starting to act like a normal human being.
Sorry to be that guy but I think this FML is missing a word, probably "I", between though and gained.
