What's the tooth?

Today, I asked my dentist to have a look at the tiny crack his colleague repaired a few years ago, because it’s giving me trouble again. He looked in my mouth, took an X-ray, and could find neither the crack, nor the corresponding filling. FML

See if you can get your current dentist to go on record with this and file a big ole complaint with whatever professional organization oversees this sort of thing in Germany. Who knows how many people he fleeced over the years?

The trouble could just be nothing eventually. The *actual* trouble, however, is that the other dentist straight-up lied about a dental issue existing, magnanimously “fixed” it, and then stole OP’s money. X-rays don’t lie.

You can't expect an ordinary dental practice to find such a tiny problem. You need to go to a crack house.

If there never was a crack then what is causing the trouble?

I was having what I thought was tooth pain. It was terrible. Dentist found nothing; turns out it was a pinched nerve in my shoulder.
