You have my heartfelt sympathy. That is a very tough burden. I had cancer of the esophagus (I am in remission). Fortunately for me I had retired and could focus on surviving the cancer, the operation, and the chemotherapy. I can barely imagine having to work for my living and deal with cancer at the same time. At this point in your life survival is where your focus has to be. Hopefully, despite a setback at work you can still get by there. DO NOT QUIT YOUR JOB. Your boss may try to encourage you to do that but don’t take that bait. You are going to need some understanding and cooperation from your employer as you go through treatment. It’s unlikely if your employer knows you are battling cancer that you will be fired - That could potentially lead to a lawsuit and some really bad publicity if you contacted you local TV news people… Cancer is not usually a death sentence anymore. You can survive this, but it’s going to be a tough time. I hope you have supportive family and friends. Eventually you will get through this and then you can decide what you want to do about your job and the rest of your life.
That's illegal, sue their asses
This assumes our justice system moves rapidly and treats people equally regardless of their income or position in society. And we all know what happens when we assume...
Why are you still working? You should be traveling and partying in your last days. Rack up some enormous credit card debt before you check out.
Feels illegal, though I'm imagine you as a stripper and the challenges cancer recovery would be for that situation.
