Today, I twisted my knee while cutting firewood with my grandpa. The pain was so crippling, I fell over screaming. His response? "Quit your bitching, I had my kneecaps blown off in Vietnam. They had to stitch 'em back on." He's never been to Vietnam, or even out of the country. FML

You go to war to fight for your country. You see 6 of your closest friends blown to pieces in front of your face. You are forced to shoot a 12 year old boy when he charges you with a gun. You see rivers literally run red with blood. You watch civilians being burned alive. You see the worst horrors of war that no one could even imagine. You go home after the war and have the same reoccurring nightmare over and over and over and over. Every night you piss yourself you are so scared. But of course this doesn't matter to you . "hahahaha" it's funny to you?

my uncle had a flashback 2 years ago and stabbed me, twice WITH the knife my grandfather bought him in 1968 to take to vietnam. this was all because I was working on my motorcycle and made a loud bang
