Seize the means of production

Today, despite my ability to generate the company around £300,000 a year, I'm paid roughly £28,000 and yet I just discovered the new hire, who still hasn’t finished her training, has been given a starting salary of £35,000, which will rise to £40,000 after her training. FML

Time to jump ship to another company, if you can. Work experience is worth its weight in gold.

demand a raise based on the facts, if you don't get it, tell them you'll leave

Even better if you have a firm proposal from another company.

Maybe the new hire can train you on how to negotiate a salary? She may be young, but she's kicking your ignorant ass in that area.

I'm with you dude. The work I do provably has created the equivalent of a bit over a million pounds worth of value in the last year but I get paid 24k. Which is why I'm looking for other opportunities, I'd suggest you do the same.
