honestly, if you both can't have a plus knew I don't know why either you or your brother should be able to bring someone. that doesn't sound pleasant at all for the odd man out. which would be you. you won't even have your brother to hang out with during vacation either as he will be most likely be preoccupied with his girlfriend most of the time.abd even if they did include you in their hang out time, it becomes kinda third wheel-y or awkward even. I think you ought to talk to your mom about being able to invite a friend for you to hang out with. Maybe you have some friendly acquaintances you could consider as your guest? A schoolmate perhaps? I never had a ton of friends myself. and ended up switching friend circled more than once as a child due to kind of being a loser but come sophomore year of high school I was at least on friendly occasional chat terms with quite a few people . not really people I could call if in a pickle but like someone else said.. if a free vacation would be involved.. people are likely to get friendlier

Honestly, that just sounds like she was being deliberately mean. "You can bring a friend but you don't have any friends", what purpose does that ever serve besides being rude?

Your mom shouldn't have said that. Before people say mean or harsh things to someone they need to think before they speak and put themselves in that position and see how they would feel if that was said to them. Words hurt and people don't know how it will affect that person. Kind, uplifting and encouraging words goes much further in making someone feel good instead of causing them hurt or pain.

Well I at least hope she took a detour by the hospital on this trip so you could get treated for that burn she gave you
