I have to wonder, did you do okay in school? Have you picked a college? If not, I can understand her wanting to get you out. My 42 year old brother is still living at home and has no job, education, or car. I wouldn't wish a loser like that on any parent.

42 - how old were you when you moved out? If it was any older than 18 you really need to back off. Otherwise, maybe the law should have been 14 in your case so they could kick you out sooner. Don't judge!

I was 18, because I wasn't going to college right away, I joined the military and moved out a month after high school graduation. If the kid has no plans at 18, he will just need to get a push.

Just because you arent severely allergic to animals doesnt mean its not possible. My mother goes into anaphylactic shock if she gets near cats or their dander.
