Today, my friend was complaining to me about her problems. I tried to be a good, understanding friend, listening and giving advice. When it was my turn to vent, she interrupted me, saying, "Sorry, but I don't really care." FML

Hey everyone, OP here! :) I just wanted to thank everyone for their comments, they were super helpful and many were also quite funny. My "friend" is now my ex-friend and it's the best decision I could've made because she clearly was never a friend to begin with. Thanks again, everyone! Cheers!

Sounds like she isn't really a "friend" OP.

That'll teach you to care about stuff. You should be more like me - bitter, jaded, old, grey-haired, deaf, and why are you still here! Get off my lawn!

Do the same back but say, "that's nice but I don't give a shit".

I've had friends like that (still kind of do) but they weren't/aren't that blunt O_O You sound like a good person OP, tell this bitch "**** you" & find better friends =)

I had a "friend" like that too. And she seriously has a new problem every day, so now I just give her my opinion bluntly and don't care if I offend her. Surprisingly, she's a lot more supportive now, so I think if you give them a taste of their own medicine, they'll see what giant bitches they really are.

What a cuntbubble... I'd call her a selfish bitch to her face and leave. I cannot stand people like her.

I know how u feel I experience that every day. They'll vent or blab to each other you but when it comes to you to vent that's the end it's just " i don't care". But they"re still it friends u just got to figure out how they think and feel and then h will understand them and u will learn how to vent to them! Simple!

But why should OP have to put up with her friend's behaviour? Friendship is a two way street. OP shouldn't be expected to be the one to always make the compromises. OP needs a real friend, not one who's just going to use her to vent out all of her problems and then turn away the moment OP wants to vent out hers.
