Today, my college dormitory accused me of something I didn't do, breaking a law that I never heard of, charged me $200 to fix "what I did wrong", and is forcing me to go to counciling at the school. Not only was I not on campus when it happened, but I was the one who reported the problem. FML

If you were the one that reported this 'incident' shouldn't they have record it was you that called? And if you weren't on campus can someone vouch for you to prove you did nothing wrong? I think there are lots of ways to get out of the ticket.. It's super annoying that you have to go through that though :( I'm sorry OP, no fun. Good luck though!!(:

Well, that's the last time I get creative with peanut butter in the dorms. Thanks for taking to blame, Bro.

Hummmmm. You never heard of the law but your the one that reported it? Hummmm!!

I'm pretty sure I read something like this years ago (not saying this is a copy, by the way), and it turned out that the college was putting the blame on the person who reported it, because they couldn't find the actual perpetrator(s). I'm not entirely sure how you could escalate this issue, but start asking for evidence that hasn't been falsified and is clear and factual. Also start asking why you're being accused. If possible, and you have evidence of your own to prove you weren't on campus, do it. This is highly unfair to you, and sounds like they're just trying to look like they do a good job.

The real FML is that you're such pushover to even fall for this BS malarkey when there's clear proof you didn't do it. If u actually paid this ticket then YDI!

So if you have never heard of the law then how did you report it?

Thos whole thing sounds kind of fishy. I think we need more info.
