Today, marks my fifth day being an English teacher's assistant. I spent it like the other four days: grading and editing terrible Teen Wolf, One Direction and Doctor Who high school fan-fiction. Six months until I get out of here. FML

Good luck with reading stories that start all innocent, cute and lovely... And always end with gay sex :)

Just give them all D- and be done with it!

Doctor Who is cool, One Direction is ok, they have cool music. But really, Teen Wolf? Embarrassing.

One direction are the only band I respect less than Justin Bieber. At least he attempts to write his own songs. One Direction fanfiction is a terrible idea. I mean how can you even have fanfiction about it? It's not even a television/radio show or a book... However teen wolf makes more sense, as it is a T.V. show.

I'm sorry to break it to you but one direction actually writes alot of their songs themselves. Ignorance is bliss.

No, Wrong Direction really don't write their own songs - they might write, but I doubt you could call it music.

You must not have been raised right, cuz Doctor Who is the shit

I remember writing a story in high school about ******* a milk bottle (yes, we still had milk bottles back then). Now I wonder what the Dr Who fans write about the sonic screwdriver.

I have to say, I don't want to bash people's preferences, but no matter the context/fandom, bad fanfics are bad fanfics. The OP states specifically that at least the majority of them were terrible. So yes, Doctor Who is awesome (personally I'm not a fan of One Direction, or the new Teen Wolf series), but the fanfics can be just as hit or miss as anything else.

Could be worse. It could be twilight fanfiction.

Welcome to the world of the literary arts. You have to sift through a pile of crap before you find gold. On a side note, I'm glad high school kids are actually doing some creative writing, even if it is fan fiction.
