Today, like every day for the past year or so, I went for a walk. And like every time I go for a walk, I got severely winded halfway through. I have no medical issues like asthma, I’m just out of shape. FML

Good for you, for working to improve your situation. Proud of you. Just that alone is better than most. Keep it up, buddy. Soon enough you'll find that you're getting winded later and later into the walk. That's a good sign. Don't get discouraged by not having immediate results, it takes time. So just keep doing what you're doing, and you'll get there.

Don't need asthma to be winded. Heart condition? Cut your walks in half and don't have as much intensity until you can keep up. Cut the distance so you can get home, and up it every time you go!

What's your diet like? What do you eat/drink before going for a walk? You still might want to consult with a doctor about this. Getting severely winded everytime you go for a walk, especially if you've been doing this for about a year is a concern and you should clear it up. At the very least your doctor could clear you medically and refer you to a more appropriate professional who can help you depending on your personal needs.

I agree that you should see a doctor. If you’ve been doing this for a year, you shouldn’t have to struggle as much as you did when you started. I’m proud of you for sticking with it! I hope you get the answers you need so you can feel better
