Today, in front of the entire family, I yelled at my mom and told her she wasn't a good parent. She responded with "Well, at least I had friends when I was your age." FML

What makes a bad child though? Isn't it part home environment. We don't know what the situation is like. OP could've been bottling their emotions and it happened to erupt at that point or they are just being emotional. Either way I'm not picking a side.

Your mom was probably just trying to make you look bad in front of the family so she wouldnt be the one getting embarassed in front of everyone.

For all the people saying "you are a terrible child respect your elders all bratty teenagers must be punished!" Shut your faces because 1) you have no idea what the mother may have said or done to provoke such a behavior and 2) Everyone has been "that bratty immature teen" at one point in their life
